DOCOMOMO Jacksonville 2010

Cote Renard was asked to put the pamphlet together for the 2010 DOCOMOMO tour in Jacksonville, FL. "DOCOMOMO stands for DOcumentation and COnservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the MOdern MOvement. Initially founded in 1988 in The Netherlands, there are now DOCOMOMO working parties in over 40 countries. The organization is dedicated to the study of significant works of Modern Movement architecture, landscape design and urban planning around the world." More information about DOCOMOMO can be found at http://www.docomomofl.org/.
The 2010 tour and lecture featured the work of Jacksonville architect Robert Broward. Nick Renard worked with Lane Manis (AIA Jacksonville), Richard Shieldhouse (DOCOMOMO) and Catherine Duncan (Form Architecture) to create the pamphlet. Here are a couple of pages.

It was great to learn about Robert Broward's work through the creation of this pamphlet. The DOCOMOMO tour and lecture pulled the experience together and did a great job displaying why Robert is such a significant part of Jacksonville's architectural history.
