Changes...

No Blog for you today...sorry to our followers.  We are going to take a few posts off, we are committing our blog time over the next week or two to develop and launch our new blog site.  Our website has not been updated in four years, so it is time to get some of our more recent work online and readily available.

We have a template that we like and now we just need to input all the info.

Stick with us we will announce the new site here and you will still be able to get to it going to www.coterenard.com.

When we come back to the blog we will be rolling out some more great content!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Job Site Annoyances

There is a lot of construction activity going on for our office lately, which has gotten us out to the job site a little more.  It is a very refreshing time, but it has also reminded us of some things that really annoy us.  Here is our list of the top three things that we see that really are irritating.

The Library

Moleskin
Francesca Serrazanetti and Matteo Schubert
We discovered this great book while purchasing sketch books for ourselves.  After a brief forward the book dives into page after page of sketches by architects collected by the editors.  The book is all about the sketches and it is very interesting to see how different each architect is at getting his or her ideas down on paper.  The book concludes with a short bio of each contributor.

Houses: Under Construction

It has been a few weeks since we posted about the work we have going on so this week we stooped by two of Brian's projects that are currently under construction.  The first is a residence in Ponte Vedra Beach and the second is the Gerzbin Residence, which was previously the subject of an On The Boards post.

Take Steps Be Heard

Late Saturday afternoon team Cote Renard Architecture participated in a charity walk for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation called Take Steps Be Heard.  True, we were one of the smallest teams there (at three), but we were definitely the best dressed!  We came out wearing the brand new Cote Renard t-shirts.

Nick and Cole enjoying the pre-walk festivities.

Jacksonville Preservation Awards: Manis Residence

Thursday we spent the evening in downtown Jacksonville at the annual Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission Awards Ceremony.  We were among a group being honored for our dedication to preserving the history of Jacksonville.  Our award was for the Adaptive Reuse of 1448 Liberty Street or as we call it around the office, the Manis Residence.
